Canada Post Workers Go Nationwide Strike

Canada Post reported a $407 million loss in the second quarter of 2025 and has lost more than $4 billion since 2018, with the government providing a $1 billion injection earlier this year to maintain operations while the corporation loses approximately $10 million daily.</span

Canada Post must present a transformation plan within 45 days outlining implementation of changes including slower delivery standards that will increase letter mail delivery time from three to four days to three to seven days by moving non-urgent mail by ground instead of air.</span
