Claiming Trump made this decision based on merit and not politics is ridiculous, since Trump in his remarks made it clear he was punishing Colorado for having mail-in voting. Trump has decided to blame the voting system for his loss in the state and the fact that it has two Democratic senators. This is the definition of petty politics, and this decision isn't the result of some so-called rigorous study.
