The Spin

Israel had no choice but to respond decisively to the Houthis' escalating attacks, especially their first use of cluster bombs since 2023. These Iranian-backed terrorists have been launching missiles at Israeli civilians for over a year while disrupting global shipping routes worth $1 trillion annually. The strikes on military infrastructure send a clear message that Israel will defend itself against any threat.

The Israeli strikes targeted civilian infrastructure including power plants and oil facilities, killing innocent people and constituting war crimes against the Yemeni population. Israel bombed a deserted presidential palace and civilian energy facilities to create suffering among ordinary Yemenis rather than legitimate military targets. These attacks prove Israel is waging open war against Arab and Muslim nations with American support.

Metaculus Prediction
