The Spin

This case represents legitimate concerns about historical injustices and the right of the Basotho people to reclaim territories unlawfully seized during colonial times. The people of Lesotho have a right to self-determination, and a broad majority wants to reclaim the land that belongs to them, as arbitrary borders impede the development of Africa.

These charges are necessary to maintain national stability and respect for a constitutional monarchy, as Lipholo's inflammatory rhetoric threatens public order and undermines legitimate government authority. His territorial claims violate established African Union principles designed to prevent border conflicts, with the myth of colonial borders being the source of all of Africa's woes being a tired and inaccurate trope.
