More than 70 people across the U.K. were arrested over the weekend following protests in support of Palestine Action — a direct action group that was this month designated a proscribed terrorist group by legislators.

It followed similar protests the previous weekend where police in London said a total of 29 people were taken into custody and held on suspicion of committing offenses under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Following the latest protests, London's Metropolitan Police said 41 people were arrested under the same offense while one person was charged with common assault.
