Every day, Russia continues to drag its feet on a ceasefire and carries on its terrorist attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. These actions need to be decisively responded to with international pressure and sanctions serious enough to prevent further destruction.
Over the past week, Ukraine has launched hundreds of drones outside the zone of conflict, all targeting civilian buildings and infrastructure. Russia will always respond to such attacks, but unlike Ukraine, Moscow would only strike military targets.
There's a 50% chance there will be a bilateral ceasefire or peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine by February 2026, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
