US: Matt Gaetz Nominated as Attorney General, Tulsi Gabbard Nominated as Director of National Intelligence

Even when putting aside both nominee's clear lack of experience,Trump's dangerous decisions to place Gabbard and Gaetz in charge of the DOJ and DNI is a blatant attempt to rip up America's democratic institutions from the inside. Given Gaetz's disturbing run-ins with the law, and Gabbard's grudge against the intelligence community for allegedly placing her on a terrorism watch list, these appointments perfectly sum up the entire purpose of the second Trump administration: revenge.
