The Spin

This move to dismiss Conille is illegal and this over-extension of the transitional council's powers was only carried out because several members of the council are currently facing corruption charges.

In a country gripped by violence, where half the population faces acute starvation as a result, this move is only going to extend the constitutional crisis and will only increase the suffering of all Haitians.

Metaculus Prediction

There is a 69% chance that Haiti will experience a successful coup d'etat before 2040, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
