As world leaders such as China's Xi Jinping, India's Narendra Modi, and others arrived in the Russian city of Kazan for the three-day BRICS summit on Tuesday, the Kremlin hoped to demonstrate that US-led efforts to isolate Russia on the international stage over its 2022 invasion of Ukraine have failed.
The summit's main goal is to accelerate efforts to minimize the number of dollar transactions, so limiting the US's ability of exercising the threat of sanctions to impose its "Western liberal order."
When the Chinese premier arrived on Tuesday morning, Putin greeted Xi as his "dear friend." Putin stated to Xi that the alliance between Russia and China plays a constructive role in global affairs, serving as a stabilizing force in the world. He added, "We intend to further increase coordination in all multilateral platforms to ensure global security and a just world order."
The 16th BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, is very important for the Putin regime, but the fact is that Putin, the war criminal, is becoming increasingly isolated on the global stage. He needs the support and assistance of BRICS nations to continue its war in Ukraine. However, BRICS does not pose a threat to US security.
Russia is not as isolated as Western leaders want us to think. A huge number of world leaders are going to Russia for the 16th BRICS summit to exchange perspectives on current global and regional challenges, as well as to address three major areas of cooperation established by the Russian chairmanship: politics and security, the economy, and finance. The United States' dominion is finished. We now live in a multipolar world.
