The campaign of Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris is reportedly preparing to lose at least one of the so-called "Blue Wall" states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, which have gone to Democrats in almost every election since 1992.

The Blue Wall was won by Democrats from 1992-2012, then Donald Trump in 2016, before returning to Democrat Joe Biden in 2020. However, recent RealClearPolitics polling averages have Trump slightly ahead in all three.

Harris is expected to win the necessary 270 Electoral College (EC) votes if she takes both the Blue Wall and one EC vote from Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District. Pennsylvania, with 19 EC votes, is the primary focus of both candidates.

If Harris were to lose one of the Blue Wall states, her campaign has reportedly sought to push for victories in Nevada and North Carolina, though the polls currently show Harris either tied or losing in those states.

According to a recent Redfield and Wilton survey, Trump is leading in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina, which would give him a victory should he win one of the three Blue Wall states.

This comes as Harris has made several campaign stops with former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney Detroit, Mich., and  Milwaukee, Wis., while Trump was in North Carolina. Former US Pres. Barack Obama is also expcted to join Harris in Georgia on Thursday.
