Hezbollah's drone strike on an IDF training camp demonstrated that Israel's defensive system is not as strong as it claims to be. When strained, the system fails. The failure killed four young soldiers on Saturday. It happened on the same day that the Biden administration announced the deployment of a new air defense system and military staff to strengthen the system and safeguard the country from all of its adversaries who continue to launch missiles and drones at it.
For almost a year, Israel has been under constant attack from Iran and its proxies. It has remained patient, but now things have changed. Though a direct response may not be immediate, Israel will have to hit Iran hard to deter any further aggression.
Iran cannot stand by while Israel commits genocide in Gaza and prepares to do the same in Lebanon. The recent attack targeted Israeli military installations with precision. Israel should carefully consider its next moves and avoid escalating the situation further.
