In a statement released Thursday, the pro-Palestine Uncommitted National Movement said it "cannot endorse" Democratic Vice President Harris," but that it also "opposes a Donald Trump presidency" and what it described as his "plans to accelerate the killing in Gaza."
As for why it won't support Harris, the group cited "unwillingness to shift on unconditional weapons policy" or support "upholding existing US and international human rights law." It also said it made the decision after she declined to meet with the families of Palestinians who died in Gaza.
Kamala Harris was aware of this voting bloc when the Gaza war began and continued to see it grow after she became, and yet she's refused to come to the table every step of the way. Uncommitted even sent a letter to Harris about a month ago reiterating their foreign policy demands, and now that she's blatantly ignored them, she's likely to lose hundreds of thousands of votes in the most important states.
