According to a memo from Kamala Harris' campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon, the campaign has raised $540M since Pres. Joe Biden dropped out of the race last month, including $82M during last week's Democratic National Convention.
By the end of July, Harris' campaign brought in $377M, compared to the $327M raised by Trump. In the month of July alone, she brought in $204M, compared to $47.5M raised that month by Republican Donald Trump.
There's only been one change to the Democratic campaign since they began outperforming Trump in fundraising, and that's Kamala Harris becoming the nominees. Since Harris took the baton from Biden, she's increased the number of younger donors, Black donors, and female donors. The money is impressive enough, but this also shows she's bringing in signicant numbers of new voters to help her win the White House.
The reason Harris has grown popular isn't due to her personality, but rather how the media portrays her on TV and magazine covers. What these elites fail to understand, however, is that comparing Harris to out-of-touch celebrities like Taylor Swift and Beyonce isn't what most people care about. What they care about is what Trump cares about: ending wars and putting money back in American pockets.
