Amid China spying allegations, European Parliament office of far-right German lawmaker searched

Alice Guo, a former mayor of a Philippine town who was accused of spying for China, may reportedly have fled the southeast Asian nation in July, evidence suggests.

Evidence presented before the Philippines Senate on Monday suggested the former mayor of Bamban town left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 18.

Senator Risa Hontiveros presented Guo's immigration entry card as proof and said Guo may have also travelled further to Singapore to meet her parents and brother.

Authorities have reportedly been searching for Guo following her failure to appear for Senate hearings on alleged offshore gambling scams.

Guo has been questioned by a Senate panel more than once over a gaming operator based in Bamban, her being a Chinese spy, and over her family history.

Accused of permitting human trafficking syndicates to operate in Bamban, Guo has reportedly been missing since July when the Senate panel ordered her arrest.
