The Spin

Despite Fox News' best attempts to get an outright answer from Vance, the Republican VP nominee has so far refused to confirm his attendance on Oct. 1. Walz has been public with his commitment to the debate but, for now, there is no guarantee anything will come of CBS's offer.

Vance is ready for a debate as long as the conditions are properly assessed. While Democrats have shown their intent to only debate after early voting has already begun, Vance is focused on ensuring that CBS does not attempt to skew the odds in Waltz's favor.

Metaculus Prediction

There is a 55% chance Kamala Harris will be elected US President in 2024, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
