Who Will Win the 2024 US Presidential Election?

Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has accepted CBS News' invitation to debate Republican Party counterpart Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), writing on X "see you on October 1, JD."

CBS News announced the same day that they had offered both Gov. Walz and Sen. Vance four potential dates (Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8), and "look[ed] forward to their responses."

Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday, Sen. Vance stated that while he "strongly suspect[ed]" the two were to debate on Oct. 1, his team would want to "talk about the rules a little bit" and ensure it wasn't an alleged "fake news media garbage debate" without an audience.

This comes as Republican 2024 candidate former pres. Donald Trump is set to debate Democratic nominee Vice Pres. Kamala Harris on ABC News on Sept. 10, having previously debated then-candidate Pres. Biden on Jun. 27.
