Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, traveled to Michigan and Wisconsin Wednesday as part of their attempt to garner support in the highly contested midwestern states.
During their rally in Eau Claire, Wis., Walz, 60, told the crowd of thousands about his careers as a teacher and in the National Guard, also stating his view on abortion was "mind your own damn business." Harris, 59, spoke about fighting for the middle class.
At their rally of thousands in Detroit, Mich., Harris again emphasized her running mate's background by mentioning the "warm midwest welcome." There, Walz accused the GOP of attacking women's reproductive rights and warned about the conservative Project 2025 policy agenda.
