White House Contacts Ukraine to 'Learn' About Kursk Offensive

• While it was previously reported that US intelligence agencies are taking an active role in supporting Ukraine's war effort against Russia, the White House said on Wednesday that it was contacting Ukraine to "to learn more about their objectives" after it launched a cross-border offensive into Russian territory this week.

• Responding to questions from reporters, the White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said: "Generally speaking, as you know, we have been supportive of Ukraine as they are defending themselves against Russia's aggression."

• She added: "But as for the specific operation, we're going to reach out to them to see what their objective is and continue to stay focused."
