US Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) on Tuesday announced a second impeachment resolution against VP Kamala Harris, who's currently the leading candidate to be the Democratic presidential nominee for president after Pres. Joe Biden decided to step aside.
The previous filing against Harris in June 2023 criticized her handling of the situation at the Southern border, referring to her as "border czar" and listing crimes allegedly committed by immigrants who were illegally in the US. The filing was introduced but never acted upon.
Ogles' new filing adds a second article claiming Harris has "knowingly misled the American people" about Biden's "physical and cognitive well-being."
If Harris believes she's qualified to be the next president, she should answer for her terrible record — including her bungling of the Biden administration's response to the invasion at the Southern border. Americans have paid the price for the open-border policy she represents. If the border failures were enough to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Harris should be held accountable as well.
