Gavin Newsom Reacts to Elon Musk's California Comments

Elon Musk Tuesday said he'll move SpaceX CEO and X from California to Texas in response to a new transgender law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on the same day.

The new law bans schools from informing parents when their children show signs of being transgender or share information of their sex orientation.

The tech billionaire called the new law “the final straw” in an X post and cited earlier legislation that he deemed as "attacking both families and companies."

Musk said the SpaceX headquarters will move from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas, and X will shift from San Francisco, California, to Austin, Texas.

The entrepreneur, who has a transgender daughter of his own, had reportedly moved from California to Texas, a state that levies no personal income tax.
