Will Donald Trump Be Disqualified From Holding the Presidency?

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that tech billionaire Elon Musk, two days after endorsing Donald Trump, plans to donate $45M per month to a pro-Trump super PAC geared toward fueling his presidential campaign.

Bloomberg reports that Musk has already made a substantial donation to the America PAC, though the exact amount remains unknown. The PAC must make the donor list public by July 15.

Musk is one of the world's richest people, with an estimated net worth of $252B. If Musk follows through with the reported contribution to the Super PAC, it would be the highest-known donation of the 2024 election season.

The America Pac has reportedly received support from some of Musk’s tech friends and allies, such as Palantir's Joe Lonsdale, whose co-founding partner, Peter Thiel, is known for his significant political contributions to Trump’s vice president nominee, Senator JD Vance.

Musk has stated that he voted for Barack Obama and, subsequently, Joe Biden in the 2020 election. However, he has since taken issue with some of the Democratic Party's policies.
