According to a new study of pandemic era excess deaths across 47 Western countries, there were over 1M excess deaths in 2020, 1.2M in 2021, and 800K in 2022, the latter two of which occurred during the rollout of vaccines and other safety measures.

The study out of the Netherlands, which was published in the journal BMJ Public Health, says besides COVID infection deaths, the "unprecedented" number of excess deaths could also be blamed on vaccines and other "health strategies" used during that period.

The study notes that the Pfizer mRNA vaccine "trial had a 36% higher risk of serious adverse events in the vaccine group," or 18 per 10K vaccinated, while Moderna had a 6% increased chance, or 7.1 per 10K.

These side effects, which included ischaemic stroke, acute coronary syndrome, and brain hemorrhage, resulted in "death," were "life-threatening," caused prolonged hospitalization, or caused "persistent/significant disability/incapacity."

The study also emphasizes that the highest number of excess deaths, about 1.26M, were reported in 2021, when both the vaccines and lockdowns were in effect. In comparison, 1.03M were reported in 2020, before the vaccines, and 800K in 2022, when the lockdowns were lifted.
