The Spin
While this endorsement is somewhat surprising given Good's voting record is almost perfectly aligned with Trump's views, another fact to consider is that the two elections he's won have been virtually unchallenged. With McGuire throwing his seemingly very popular hat into the ring, this primary will let the public see how 5th District voters truly feel about their congressman.
Primary challenges like this represent the growing dangerous trend of Republican Party infighting. While he and McGuire both seem to be very conservative, conservative lawmakers will only hurt themselves by continuing to back different candidates. The conservative wing of the GOP needs to win elections, not fight over who loves Trump more.
