Starmer continues works to stamp out any left-wing opposition to his centrist machine. While Labour is almost certain to win the election, they will have done at the cost of burying one of the party's must iconic and important figures. The party's behaviour towards Abbott is downright disgraceful.
Diane Abbott's political decline is the product of her own doing. Hypocritically renowned for standing up on behalf of minorities, the MP's outrageous antisemitism cannot be simply forgotten. Labour is right to purge the endemic hatred festering within its party.
