Michael Bennet
Michael Farrand Bennet is an American attorney and Democratic politician serving as the senior U.S. Senator from Colorado since 2009, previously working as a law clerk, counsel at the Department of Justice, and superintendent of Denver Public Schools. A graduate of Yale Law School and Wesleyan University, he also chaired the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and launched a 2020 presidential bid before announcing his candidacy for Colorado governor in April 2025.
