Leopoldo López

Leopoldo López is a Venezuelan opposition leader and former mayor of Chacao who spent years in prison under Nicolás Maduro's government. Released to house arrest in 2017, he escaped to the Spanish embassy in 2019 and later fled to Spain. He remains a prominent critic of Venezuela's authoritarian government and advocate for democratic restoration.
