Dr. Amy Acton

Dr. Amy Acton served as the Director of the Ohio Department of Health from 2019 to 2020, leading Ohio's initial COVID-19 pandemic response and becoming known for her science-based public health guidance. She is a physician and public health expert who previously worked with Medicaid programs and vulnerable populations, and ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in Ohio's 2022 Democratic primary.
