Özgür Özel

Özgür Özel is a Turkish politician who has served as chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) since November 2023. Born in 1974, he previously served as a member of parliament representing Manisa province from 2011 to 2023. He defeated incumbent Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the party leadership election, promising to modernize Turkey's main opposition party.
