The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is a United Nations agency that focuses on promoting international cooperation in the areas of meteorology (weather and climate), operational hydrology and related geophysical sciences. It seeks to enable the free exchange of data and information between nations, while leading efforts to monitor and protect the climate and environment.
