William Ruto

William Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto is the fifth President of Kenya, assuming office on 13 September 2022 after winning the August 2022 election under the United Democratic Alliance. He previously served as the country’s Deputy President from 2013 to 2022, and has held several ministerial roles—including Agriculture and Higher Education—before leading Kenya with a policy agenda focused on economic transformation and inclusivity.
