Himanta Biswa Sarma

Himanta Biswa Sarma is an Indian politician and lawyer currently serving as the Chief Minister of Assam since May 2021. A former member of the Indian National Congress, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2015 and has previously held important state cabinet portfolios — including Finance, Health, and Education — establishing himself as a key strategist in Northeast Indian politics.
