Ekrem İmamoğlu

Ekrem İmamoğlu is the mayor of Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, serving since 2019. A member of the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), he defeated the ruling AKP candidate in a closely watched election that was initially annulled but repeated. The civil engineer previously served as mayor of Beylikdüzü district from 2014-2019.
