Brice Oligui Nguema

Brice Oligui Nguema is Gabon's transitional president since August 2023, when he led a military coup that ousted President Ali Bongo Ondimba. A career military officer and former Republican Guard commander, he heads the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions. Oligui Nguema has promised democratic elections and constitutional reforms during the transition period.
