Amy Klobuchar

Amy Klobuchar (born 1960), Minnesota's senior U.S. Senator since 2007 and the state's first elected female senator, is a Democrat celebrated for bipartisan antitrust work, consumer protection and legislative productivity. A former Hennepin County Attorney, Yale and Chicago Law graduate, author, and 2020 presidential candidate, she chairs the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee while considering a 2026 gubernatorial bid after Tim Walz's withdrawal.
