In their study published in Science Advances on Wednesday, researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel genetically modified a tobacco plant (Nicotiana benthamiana) to simultaneously produce five psychedelic compounds: psilocin, psilocybin, DMT, bufotenin and 5-methoxy-DMT.
