Billy Nolen

Billy Nolen is a former acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (2022-2023) and currently serves as chief safety officer at Archer Aviation, an electric air taxi company, since 2023. He previously held senior safety roles at United Airlines and American Airlines. Nolen led the FAA during critical periods including post-737 MAX certification reforms and aviation system modernization efforts.
