Leopold Aschenbrenner

Leopold Aschenbrenner (born 2001) is an American AI safety researcher, investor, and co-founder of Epoch AI, best known for his essay series 'Situational Awareness: The Decade Ahead.' He previously worked on OpenAI's superalignment team before being dismissed in April 2024, after which he raised $35 million for the AI investment fund Fortify Fund.
