Michael Whatley

Michael Whatley is chair of the Republican National Committee, elected in March 2024 alongside co-chair Lara Trump. The North Carolina native previously led the state's Republican Party from 2019 to 2024. An attorney and energy lobbyist, Whatley advised Donald Trump's 2020 campaign and promoted unsubstantiated election fraud claims.
