The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is India's premier federal law enforcement agency, established in 1963 through the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946. Operating under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the CBI investigates a wide range of cases, including corruption, economic offenses, and multi-state crimes, and serves as the country's liaison with Interpol.
