NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai, Japan Broadcasting Corporation) is Japan's national public broadcasting organization, established in 1926, operating multiple television and radio networks domestically and internationally. It is funded primarily through mandatory receiving fees paid by households and businesses with television sets, similar to the BBC model.
