Blackstone Inc. is the world's largest alternative asset manager, founded in 1985 by Stephen Schwarzman and Peter Peterson. The New York-based firm manages over $1 trillion in assets across private equity, real estate, credit and hedge funds. Led by CEO Schwarzman since 2007, Blackstone went public in 2007 and has become a dominant force in global finance and real estate investment.
