The UBI Center, founded in 2019 and based in Washington, DC, is an open-source think tank dedicated to making universal basic income (UBI) the world’s most thoroughly researched economic policy. It employs cutting-edge economic modeling and transparent, reproducible tools such as PolicyEngine and open microsimulation frameworks to evaluate UBI proposals and their effects on poverty, inequality, and fiscal systems.
