Steven Pifer

Steven Pifer is a retired U.S. Foreign Service officer and former ambassador to Ukraine, who has served in roles focused on U.S.-Russia and U.S.-Ukraine relations, arms control, and European security. With over 25 years in the State Department, his assignments included deputy assistant secretary of state for Russia and Ukraine and senior director for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia on the National Security Council.
