William Kovacic is an American legal scholar who served as General Counsel, Commissioner, and Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, before becoming Global Competition Professor of Law & Policy and Director of the Competition Law Center at George Washington University Law School. He served as a Non‑Executive Director on the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority board. He has advised numerous national governments and international organizations on antitrust, competition policy, and institutional regulation.
