The New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) — established in 1901 as the first state-level nurses' association in the U.S. — is a labor union and professional organization representing over 42,000 registered nurses in New York State. It advocates for safe staffing, quality patient care, healthcare equity, and progressive health policies, and is affiliated with National Nurses United, the nation's largest nurses' union.
