Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is a fusion energy company founded in 2018 as a spin-out from MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center, developing commercial fusion power plants using high-temperature superconducting magnets. The company is working to build SPARC, a compact tokamak fusion reactor designed to demonstrate net energy gain, followed by ARC, its first commercial fusion power plant.
