Shakir Chambers is a second-year PhD student in Political Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, specializing in Canadian foreign and defence policy. He holds master's degrees in both History and Political Science from Western University, where he also contributed to the Carleton Review of International Affairs and served as Under-Secretary General for the Canadian International Model United Nations Conference . His research interests encompass Canada-U.S.-China foreign and security policies, maritime security, the rise of China, and security developments in the Asia-Pacific region .
