Steve Schmidt is a political and corporate strategist who worked on various Republican presidential campaigns. In 2020, he announced his intention to register as a member of the Democratic Party. Schmidt co-founded The Lincoln Project, an organization aimed at opposing former President Trump, but left the group in 2021.
