The Facts
US presidential primary elections took place in Maine, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, and South Carolina on Tuesday, with some of the races selecting battleground contenders despite relatively low voter turnout.
A special election in Ohio's 6th Congressional District resulted in a narrow victory for GOP state Sen. Michael Rulli over Democratic candidate Michael Kripchak, with Rulli winning by 9.3 percentage points.
